Ice Cream Social and Neighborhood Watch Program
Come join a social family afteroon on Sunday, June 28 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at TIS Hall. We will have an Old Fashion Ice Cream Social.
Family, friends, old and new — we need you! Meet the new representatives from the Orange County Sheriff's Department in charge of the COP's program and the representatives from the Lake County Meth Lab program.
Mary Pezzo receives her "Appreciation of Effort" gift at the Volunteer Recognition dinner held on April 20. Mary is joined by TIS president, George Wiggins and Congressman Alan Grayson's Constituent Representative, Jet Netwall. Ms. Netwall presented proclamations of recognition to the TIS Centennial volunteers for their efforts during our 100 year celebration.
Centennial Celebration Concludes
According to Webster's Dictionary, "Success is degree or measure of succeeding". With all the help from many volunteers, we certainly had a Successful Centennial Celebration. Always enough help, always enough food, always enough participation and always enough enjoyment. Your Appreciation Gift will always have a special place in my house, for all to see and for me to brag about the benefits of being a TIS member. For those that missed the Volunteer Recognition Dinner on April 20, I was presented with a beautiful lead crystal vase with "In Appreciation of Mary Pezzo, Chairperson, 2009, Centennial Celebration, Tangerine Improvement Society" engraved on the vase, filled with elegant flowers! Thanks to all who volunteered and participated in the events schedule in January, February, March and April, 2009!
Love and Hope, Mary Pezzo

And during the past 100 years, the Tangerine Improvement Society has been the backbone, galvanizing forces to fight city hall as well as organizing monthly pancake breakfasts at the community center or....
